It seems you can’t turn on the news or the radio without hearing a story about Elon Musk and his Twitter deal…

Who knows how it’s all going to turn out? Maybe he buys it, maybe he doesn’t. Time and the courts will tell! But the story no one seems to be addressing is this… Why are so many large accounts on Twitter being abandoned over the last couple of years?

I was recently cleaning up some of the “lists” I had built over the years, and I was stand to see so many accounts, with followers of 5000 and that to 100,000 that have not made a single post, or seemingly engaged on Twitter in the last 2 to 3 years?

These are not small accounts, and they aren’t insignificant in their following numbers…

So what would cause these large accounts to abandon this platform?

I can only assume that either the individual died, or maybe they determined that Twitter was not beneficial to their business, life, or entertainment needs…

It’s possible that either individual died, they determined that Twitter was not beneficial to their business, life, or entertainment needs… I’m guessing they simply found something better to do with their time. Maybe they know something the rest of us don’t know?
